THE SECOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL: That wonderful cast from the first outing are back with new addition Richard Gere. And it’s a treat to behold. While the Dames (Maggie Smith and Judi Dench) are in top form, along with Bill Nighy and Penelope Wilton, this is Dev Patel’s movie. He is the one who started it all and gives a funny, charming performance as well as exhibits his terrific dance moves once he let’s go in the film’s final moments. Touching on deeper issues of aging now and then, it is all summed up with one brilliant closing line. So if you liked the first one, this one will be your cup of English tea as well. If you didn’t see the first one, no matter, you’re in for pure enjoyment. Second best, to none.
