MINIONS 3D:
According to this scenario, they've been around since the dawn of time,
so why not examine their journey?
Always on the search for a despicable master to serve, they started out
with T-Rex, went through Napoleon and others finally ending up in the sixties with
super-villainess Scarlet Overkill and her inventor husband Herb (voiced by
Sandra Bullock and Joe Hamm). It seems
Ms. Overkill is lusting after the crown jewels of England and who better to get
them than her newly acquired minions: Kevin, Stuart and Bob. And that’s the plot in a nutshell. And nutty it is. Adding their voices to the animation are
Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Geoffrey Rush, Steve Carell and Jennifer
Saunders as the Queen of England. While
3D is not a must on this one, I did think it added well to the craziness, part
of which is some easily recognized musical numbers sung in “Minionese.” And a
word to the wise, there is an entire number (i.e. curtain call) after the last
credit has rolled by. Be sure to stay
for it. “Oool lubbit!” That’s Minionese
for “You’ll love it!”
